THE RUM IS GONE!!
SOMEONE STOLE MY RUM!!!
WHO WOULD DO SUCH A THING???
GIMME BACK ME RUM!!
^Merely a fuse blown from my brain...
Can you change your fuse? Or is it just a permanent disruption? Maybe someone has a spare penny to bridge the gap.
a lucky penny? (eternal darkness, yes?)

Ah. No, sorry.
I forget I'm the only one who remembers these things because I'm insanely old compared to most of the people I speak with on LJ. ;)
Used to be, when your fuses would blow and you couldn't get to the store just then, you could go down to your fusebox in the basement and slide a penny in horizontally and on edge to bridge between the two metal connectors, where the fuse would normally go. And it would restore power for a bit until you get get a new fuse.
Some people just left the pennies in and they worked fine for years. Until the build-up of corrosion shorted out the penny and
the metal connectors. :)(Old. Old old old person. Must remember this.)

yes...of course that penny simply restores the power. You still have to fight the Black Guardian.
